Art Classes

Mark is available to tutor privately, deliver one-day workshops, present painting demos / art talks and offers artist mentorship programs to aspiring artists.

Art Classes with EDLC:

Mark currently teaches art classes run by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture which generally take place midweek for adults and on Saturdays with children.

Private Art Tuition (for one or two students):

You can hire Mark's services as a private tutor. This is ideal for school aged learners, wishing to develop early level art/visual skills, or for those more advanced pupils applying for a further education art course. Equally, Mark is available to tutor adults keen on exploring drawing and painting recreationally, or as life long learners.

With one-to-one or one-to-two tutored attention you can really develop your practice in a short space of time. Work on your sketchbook technique, develop an artwork from conception to completion, consider alternative methods or media for compositions. Paint a portrait or self portrait, appreciate the human form, draw or paint still life compositions or draw the figure in a landscape or urban setting. Anything is possible.

Mark can come to your home to conduct the lesson. This can be negotiated, depending on what you would like to cover.

Please bring your own materials. We will work to a maximum size of A2.

Hourly rate: £35 (one to one)  or  £30 per student (one to two)

Mark can tutor within the Glasgow and East Dumbartonshire areas.

One-Day Workshops:

Mark offers day long art workshops aimed at art clubs and drawing & painting clubs.

These sessions can be tailored to specific age groups.

Activities and subject matter can be arranged with Mark prior to the event.
